Well good luck with cracking a md5'd string.
If you know what md5 does - it's a one-way hash. What goes in does not come out.

Yes you can brute force it to some regard.. but with other controls in place I wouldn't be too worried about it.
Maybe niceguyeddie could shed further light on this subject.

And I guess my question would be - why would you want to?

We don't stop at the standard phpBB security. Even if you got my password, it wouldn't do you much good because we have other security in place. And even if you got all the passwords needed to get to the admin area, and did indeed delete the site, so what? We have manual data backs on our PCs and also automatically ftp-ed to another back up server.

Now, when looking at the backlinks and PageRank, do you feel emasculated? Do you feel like a hopeless school girl? Do you feel like somebody just kicked you in the gut? If so, the keyword might just be a tad bit out of your league.

Pretty much exactly how I pick and choose keywords to pursue.

the ending was a bit disturbing...but overall a good, short article. I am one of those people who can not get his 5 - 9 back based on semi criminal activity...oops, this is an open forum, er I don't really like my old job at all...keywords are much more fun.

There is something obvious not mentioned in the article. If you feel like the school girl, consider the typos. For some keywords, there are excelent typos to use. For one difficult keyword (2 000 000 pages, many heavily optimised) I found a typo bringing 1/20 of the real keyword traffic, but mere 30 000 competing pages, none optimised. Excelent for low budged clients.
