Page Rank

I seem to be aplogizing a lot lately.

What the heck is a Page Rank? You all are speaking a foreign language to me on that one

I guess it has something to do with the relative importants of a web site / blog, or # of visitors, or something like that.

How does one find out if one has a Page Rank?

Many thanks!

Down to PR 3, that's a huge drop for a big forum like V7N. But, most of the above authors are correct - as long as it doesn't affect earnings (in which case, I wouldn't know about it - other for John Scott), then life is as per normal.

A lot of webmasters get really agitated once the PR ranking starts to drop - nonetheless, it shouldn't be the case. If your site is generating traffic for you, and you're doing fine - that's good.

Most importantly, it's SERP that counts, not PR.

John needs to get in on this thread and tell us how this will affect his pricing for the contextual links.

I looked a while back and they were like $1200 (Or around there) a month, and im sure that was in part caused by the high PR being passed.

I take it that is where the bulk of the money for this site is being made as there are no google ads etc being displayed between posts.

So even if his serp doesnt change, he may find it harder to sell the links at the same price, which would mean a change in revenue generating tactics.

I could be way off base here, i have never ventured outside the forum of v7n so contextual links may not be the big earner.

Yup, SERP and don't focus to much on your PR.

As long as it HAS a rank it should be all right. Rank doesn't effect the traffic, and content of this forum.

No idea my website dropped also from 4 (was there since 1 year) to 3 PR

The funny thing is that the same website has never been higher in the top SE
