Why V7N forum still PR3?

It seems like google has done a lot of penalizing just lately but we just have to keep playing the game and forget about PR and concentrate on positioning in the search engines.

I think it is time for Google to give up the PR system, like they did with the supplemental results. I rather want to see a thumbnail of sites in the index before cliking in links. We are wasting too much time to navigate in deceptive sites indexed.

I think PR plays a basic role.And the fact is visible when google delayed the updation every one was in trouble and was hanged up.Can see a lot threads which were started about it.SO pr is a backbone for a site.
Any way for a forum its not a big issue.

PR PR PR PR..PR is just a number who cares if they got genuine visitors, but if the visitors comes from search engines then PR worth..so it depends upon the nature of the website.. if it got real visitors like v7n forum there is no need to struggle for PR.

Thats what I think - If we are dealing in text-link selling or want to do paid blogging then PR worth ,If we have a merchant site on which we'r selling some product then PR doesn't matter only the intrested visitor matters and If the visitors are from search Engine then its very useful Because from search engine almost intrested visitors come!

I would not say that there is no any relationship with v7n.com's PR6.

Yet V7N did a good job with anchor tag "webmaster forums" at homepage

Also v7n homepage is a very important page and listing a set key phrase="webmaster forums" as a hidden SERP

Don't worry about PR. One of my sites fell from PR2 to PR0 but it is getting so much traffic this month

Maybe something to do with V7N allowing dofollow links in signatures.

I think PR is a Google proprietary, let Google do all the hard work to protect it. However, Just for your information I have observed rapid PR changes for some sites over the past few weeks. PR8 -> PR6-> PR10 - this was the PR change (Toolbar) for a renowned web site.
So far as I have learnt changes were noticed for sites either involved in big blogging network, or the sites selling text link Ads. It is being told that Google took a special drive to identify sites selling text link Ads!
So PR Drop for V7N is more likely to be due to the second reason.

Optical illusion. Many of the banned people are the same. It just appears that way since there are many X's. As to why, chances are they violated V7N's TOS, remember we are all guests here.
