Any sites with no AdSense?
Is it just me or does every website on the planet have AdSense ads all over them lately? It seems like everywhere I go I am seeing the little "Ads by Google" links.
(End rant)
Maybe this big bubble will pop someday. (And it's gonna leave goowey google residue all over us.)

Well, it depends on you if you wanna put ad sense on it or not. Not everybody puts ad sense on their sites.

Using AdSense is a positive thing for the web site's owner. No money = no interest in developing the site, adding new content and so on.
I'd personally never spent about 3-4 hours daily on my site if I had no reasonable revenue from it.
On the other hand I agree that sites with pathetic traffic should turn their ads off.

all 25 of my sites don't have adsense or any other ads, links, or anything. Only 5 make money...the rest are fun and I spend hours on sites I own developing that bring nothing in.

AdSense is inserted on a certain site only for self-interests just to earn money of course. As we see it, people who do not know about this things think that those ads are very appealing...

It's just so darn easy to put some adsense that I think a lot of people add it in hopes of at least covering their hosting costs. I don't have a problem with it, and we've recently added a fair amount of adsense.
Heck even Apple's iWeb now allows you to add Adsense code to it's templates.

Few of my sites including a forum don't have Adsense. It doesn't necessarily a bad thing for your sites but I chose not to because I want it to attract more visitors.

I think it depends on the type of site.
If it's a public service site or a hobby site, I see no reason not to have AdSense.
If it's a commercial site where a product or service is being sold, then I wouldn't expect to see AdSense.

Thats good idea. Even otherwise, only webmasters and spiders visit directories and they never click on ads

If you have just a simple blog(without a TLD-let's say blogger.com) where you write your daily routine you definitely don't need to place ads.
Also if you have that spirit! to share knowledge and info(it's rare actually today) you may have the most successful website and yet ads-free!
I guess i agree with one of the above posts, that we are masters of your websites and it's all up to us to choose to put ads or not.
