Yes it is a good news, because they are links farm themself.

If you are observing, even Amazon.com promote to this kind of sites. The funny thing, New Egg, Inc tried to sell me their junk services Free for 6 months ( not totally free, because you must pay a percentage on sale, and must sign a contract), and no I am not interested by any of this junk sites.

They can provide me excellent report of their SEM, I don't care.

Freedom, and no contract are my politic. No middle man to charge more my customers !

It's no surprise, any open admitted abuse is not a smart move by anyone. I'm glad that they slammed it on Shopzilla. Imagine others going after the same niche but doesn't have a whole lot of budget.

I agree, Google should make a special search engine for businesses, with a paid submission, so everybody businesses are equal. If the link business is not up and running for more than 1 month, business is removed from Google special businesses search engine.

This would provide a clean advertising for visitors and customers.

It doen't bother me if Google has the monopoly if they make a smart and decent tool accessible for all business owners.

I do have a doubt....I noticed that the PR of search engine roundtable is 4 ...Is it the same or decreased in the recent google update?

PR doesn't matter much!
But the website has 4K alexa ranking and that's enormous.

Lizza, I will not take Alexa seriously, I found a better tool to check how my site is doing: the Netcraft toolbar ranking.

PR shouldn't exist ;-)
