Search in Google for products

The other day I was looking for some online stores selling Epson ink cartridges in US for my Epson RIP Station 5000pro. The results was more than 60% merchant sites from UK. As far as the shipping and exchange rate go, that will make the ink cardriges double price.

I think it is the time for Google to return more specific results from the country we live in, so we cannot waste hours to find specific products.

I agree it would be a good idea if google increased it's geographical setting to weight a little more when it comes to SERP.

I think it would depend on the keyword you typed in the search box because we all know that G displays the most relevant results depending on the keyword you are searching for.

Thanks for the replies.

The keyword was: Epson SO20118 in US which is the black ink.

The one handling that keyword did a better job targeting the Epson SO20118 and G didn't pay much attention in the word US.

Or it is because G sees it like a stop word like "in us"? It might be one of the reason.

Maybe it would be better to narrow down the query a bit more, like the Epson bargain deals in the US or something alike to tell Google you are searching for the local results.

yah i also noticed that.. but thats their algo.. the websites also have to do something with it...

I just tried the query "Epson bargain deals in the US" that's funny, the first result come from Australia.

It doesn't matter how you are looking for a specific country, the result are differents.

Algos LSI or else show their limits at some points.
