My site went down from first page of Google to 6th page...WHY?

Till today morning my site was showing up on the first page of Google for a specific keyword.....but when I checked it after 8 hours it went down to 6th page.....why this could have happened....can somebody please help me in understanding this.....because this has a definite impact on the traffic of my site.

It happens, just build more links into the website. I don't get caught up on Google as much as I use to it will probably come back just a alter in rankings maybe.

You should honestly learn things like Blog marketing, PPC, and etc other channels for business don't put your eggs all in one basket.

For example do I date one girl at a time? No I date 5 of them

it could come back after a while, but there is a chance your incoming links has no weight and no longer exist.

Well, sometimes it is temporary whereas sometimes it is permanent.

If the "problem" still persists, then try analyzing between the statistics when your site was on the first page and your site now. It depends on your content, traffic, popularity etc.

Try increasing your websites network within your site and try fetch some good natural backlinks.

Regular updates help a lot

See to it that you use the keyword you want to be on top with regularly.

What he said. Just keep updating with good content and building quality links and your ranking should eventually take care of itself.

Do not bet on 1 phrase. It is simple... This thing happened to me and if my site didn't have enough content, I would make a suicide for a thousands times...

Create a list of primary phrases (approximately 15-20 of phrases) and do everything possible in order to be top for them. If one disappears, then you still have 14+ of another phrases and rankings...

The ranking fluctuates often. You gotta have a very poerful site to maintain itself in the first position, or first page. Until then, optimize, market, improve, and date some more girls.

as what I'm always saying, being no. 1 today not necessarily means that your still no. 1 tomorrow. Your not the only one optimizing a site and as an seo it you big task to maintain your rankings,. Still do what you had already done when you achieve the no. spot, make a fresh quality contents...

I went from #1 to the lost land of the 200's a couple of months ago for a term but now I'm at least back in the 80-100 result range...

Maybe it's a google dance. You cannot assure that your site is still in first page after google dance. This things all depends on how you promote and build links of your site.
