Google is cleaning his index
Hello guys,
I just checked the pages indexed by Google for my e-commerce, and found that there were around 50 pages less.
It seems like Google is removing pages.
Are you having the same issue?
Thanks

Yes! I lost 7 indexed pages in the last couple days. (out of 17 - my site is still new)
One page in particular clocked in at #13 for a specific keyword, now it's nowhere to be found.
Oh well, I'm not really depending solely on Google, so it's not worrying me too much. It's just odd...

Yep, I think Google should clean up all the link farms sites first, before touching legitimate businesses.
After filtering more and more automatically, it will be a mess for sure.

there are many issues of many pages lost in SERPs these days...Well, no one can really say if it is just the "Google often updates" because there is no reason or notice for this kind of incidents.
I think google must explain briefly why is this happening to us LOL!

That happens all the time.
Now you have 1000's pages few hours later you have a lot less.
It all depend on what server your query connects to...

Updating a site?
In more than 2 years Google never took a bunch of pages off of his index like this.
I also checked my competitors, and it is happening to them.
We are all having the same issue.

It happens to few of my websites all the time.
E.G. one of them this morning had 21000 pages in google index, while at 16:00 when I checked there were only 18700 pages.
The other website are smaller so vary all the time from 180-200 to 85-90-110 pages.
I check them twice a day, every day.
BTW, I will never say something unless I am sure.

Google is constantly changing. It doesn't mean it will remain this way. Give it a few days and check again.

In the last few weeks we have seen a lot of changes in Google SE.
We all know what happen with PR.
Obviously this is affecting the weight of all pages in the SERPS and my opinion is the Google is doing some sort of spring-clean at the moment which could take some time.
