Adsense payouts without clicks?

I've noticed that my adsense earnings at times increase as a result of just "impressions" and no clicks (even if it is only a few cents). Is this normal? And does Google pay it because there aren't clicks (adword users) to generate the income?

You actually get earnings ? BTW dont want to highjack your thread searchbliss but are the impressions like tallied up ? as in if I get 400 imps per month will the add up and I get some commision ?

A lot of advertisers on Adwords pay per impression, if you're lucky enough to have your site selected for display by them (pretty rare) then you'll get some pay per impression, it's not much though. It's like adsharing on Digitalpoint, advertisers pay top bucks for the space and users get some of that moeny back

Yes, that's normal if the your ads displays relevant contents (advertisement) it surely means you will increase you earnings...

That's normal. You can still have earnings without clicks through your impressions.

That has happened to me to, I think it's because I made the ads very relevant to my website. It's not much but it's still cool to see that I made SOME money.

Hi, It is not depends on only click of adds there are also some others criteria for payout form google. So dont bother abt it..

If it happens, my guess is it should be for graph Ads which make a good impression even if not clicked.

I think its normal and it gets paid every 1000 overall impressions you get from your ads....

Thats cause those are CPM ads and they pay based on the number of impressions. You need to have a pretty big site in order to get these types of ads on regular basis in adsense, or if some advertiser specifically selects your site to display his ads.

Never heard of this, but I have only been doing this for a couple of months. I did recall reading in Adsense somewhere that this could happen but I cannot remember why. You might want to scan their help pages to find out.

I assume you mean Adsense and not Google, rigth?

I see that others are getting some of this as well. Is there certain niches for CPM type of ads? Just curious.

They pay for impression and for click, of course the click payment is much more and more often so it is matter of just few cents.

Even I some times get about 1 cent (very meager indeed?) in my adsense account when there were no clicks at all!
