How to track customers on AdWords.

Here is the question my friend asked me:

About the Adwords. StatCounter doesn't track visitors who come to my website, leave and come back. At least not on a continuious path. Google Analytics doesn't either.
I mention this because the problem I have had tracking Adword campaigns is that once a visitor wants to purchase one of my ebooks they must first go offline to Clickbank.com to make the purchase and then Clickbank.com sends them back to the download page.
Once the leave the site and go to clickbank.com, StatCounter and Google Optimizer loses them and doesn't recognize them once they come back.
Do you know of a good analytics program that can track a visitor and recognize them once clickbank.com sends them back?

Please help to find the answer.

i thought G analytics does. im sure it does. but if not then best bet is to give Larry Page a call, he'll know.
