Heard that some penalized sites are back in Google. Not the major ones, some minor ones. You think the penalty was temporary?

What do you mean back in? I've only seen PR drops not complete removal or any real changes to SERPS. Do you have any examples?

Yep, it only drops PR but no effect in SERP.

Some directories were removed from SERPs for their own names - Aviva dir for example

I have seen a few fluctuations when i checked the results today from yesterday.

A site i was monitoring moved down 11 spaces. Time will tell if it is going to stay there.

Thats quite normal now days considering the amount of competition for a particular keyword.

My forum was top for 11 million results - now only 3 million

been this way for 2 weeks or so.

I noticed another Google backlinks update.

Mine seem to always drop or rise a few. I never see any big changes.

Thanks for the heads up-Maybe you don't notice big changes because your backlinks are generally very good.

Although PR should never be your primary focus, since it does play at least a part in the SERPS, it should certainly be something that a site owner should care about.

PageRank relies on the uniquely democratic nature of the web by using its vast link structure as an indicator of an individual page's value. I meant exactly that! Just too pissed with people going all over to get PR.
