Is Google Greedy?

I have been told by many people not to use adsense or adwords. They say that google just wants our money, i personally disagree.

In the grand scheme of things, does it really matter? They're the biggest and what you owe yourself to do is position yourself in the tidal wave and do what works!

I agree with TrafficLicious, it doesn't really matter whether they are greedy or not, you can't do anythin about that. What you can do is put yourself in such a position that even if google shows their greed they can't hurt you or your website.

They have methods that work so naturally they want their price. A lot is up to the consumer. If you have Adwords but target the wrong keywords that nobody searches for, then maybe your loss is your own fault...

Google is a business. They have to pay the bills. Google brings a lot of traffic so you get what you paid for.

Is Google Greedy? I think it is not, but it is depends on how you go about it and it is part of their business.

You can make a thread that Yahoo or msn is greedy. Do you make money off the services they provide? How can you ask them to give the ads to you for free?

I think its their nature to be like that.. They are not there going to hand out easy-free money to you, Google has to make money somehow, think about it..

Bogart has a point...Google only get what they serve you...It business anyway...And they didn't force you to do that...that is our own will to get involve with them for our own desire too..

Have you tried adwords or adsense? The only way to know if it will work for you is to try it.

I have a new site that is getting approx 100 vistors a day and 94% are from Google and 1.4% Digg.

Yahoo depending on the niche can bring you traffic. Another new site of mine is doing $1 a day on adsense from yahoo long tail keywords. I would be doing $20 on Google but hey I'll take $1 a day for a couple hours work.

On my opinion, it doesn't really matter for me if G is greedy or not but the thing is G is the largest SE so what we must do is just "go with the flow" and how can you use it to gain profit.

Yeah. who really cares if Google is greedy. I just want to eat. Going with the flow is what makes the world go around. A lot of people are making good money on Google and it's better to go with it and get yours.

As the business grows they need more money. Just think about how many data centers and computers Google is running.
