My site's PR is 2 but inner pages have PR 0 WHY???

Hey guyz my site has a PR 2 but most of my inner pages have PR 0 or there is no page rank info available for them. Can somebody tell me what could be the reason behind that and how can I improve the PR of inner pages.

And if I do a link exchange with other sites the links has to be on the first page or it has to be on the inner pages?

Either the inner pages is too new to show a PR or there is not enough link juice to pass down from your top page, you can improve it by getting direct links to the inner pages.

ok...so as we do link building for our home page we need to do that for all our pages. Rite?

Yes, that signals the search engines that there are internal pages that people like a lot and if there are more of that, it signals the site is with good content and should pay more attention to it.

Building links to inner pages is not absolutely required to have pr for inner pages but it won't hurt. The site in my sig has pr 1 and most of the inner pages are pr1 as well because i haven't spread the PR juice of the home page too thin by having lots of links on homepage. It is natural that your homepage will have the highest pr in your site, if you want to have pr for your inner pages as well then link to a limited set of them from homepage and also try to limit the no. of external links on your homepage or use nofollow.

Yes, I agree with dman_2007, the more out links you have on a page, the less link juice the page can pass on to the linking pages.

You better deeplink your inner pages and write some articles based on the contents of your inner pages and submit them to article directories. Also sign in to google webmaster tools and submit all pages through sitemap.xml to google so that all pages would be indexed. During the next PR update there is a chance to get high PR. Others will link to your internal pages if you have good, useful content there. That will deifinitely improve PR for your internal pages too.

You can check for google PR with a google tool bar (browser addon) install in your browser, or use some third party web service to check, just google for 'check google PR' and there is a list of them for you.

You should build links to your inner pages and to check PR i use either google toolbar or rankingtoday.com

As far as I know, you can improve your PR in your inner pages by putting some quality and unique content. Doing this will let other related sites link to you. You can also target specific keywords as your anchor text in your inner pages in order for the search engines to recognize them and provide them with better PR...

its either your site's inner pages are new. If thats the case promote does pages. submit it to some directories that accept deep link. or post it to your sig and other ways to build link pop!
