What is the percentage of traffic you get from Google?
I was just wondering what is the percentage of your site's traffic which is coming from Google.......the amount of traffic what I get from Google is actually less infact its negligiable - I guess my site is not search engine friendly .
If you have good traffic coming in from Google please share your best practices here which have worked for you - this would be of great help for a newbie like me.
Thanks
Nikhil

I get over 90%. But then again, I don't get that many visitors just yet so 90% is easily achieved with small numbers. Plus, there is nothing else that leads to my site except Google and a few Yahoo links.

I own several domains, some popular and some that are not-at-all popular and think I have some oversight on avarages, most sites do not get more than 10 to 20% of their traffic from all search engines combined, I think that 16% from all search engines combined is a good avarage for most sites.
Don't rely on Google or any other search engine, that's not where the big sites get their bulk of traffic from.

on average i get about 30% traffic from google, mostly from google images tho, since i run more graphics oriented websites. probably if u rank well, means u have a lot of backlinks, and if u have a lot of backlinks, u will also have traffic from some of them, so visitors can never come 100% from SE, i think.

61% of my search engine traffic comes from google, which is about 12% of my total traffic. I have a weird site though... 75% of my traffic is from direct requests/bookmarks. And honestly I haven't worked as hard as I probably should have to optimize.

For mine it is 15% from google. It actually depends upon the "relatively" how optimised are your keywords as compared to competitors. In case of crowded keywords you you will be getting less hits from google.

I get around about 30 - 40%. Personally the more traffic I get from Google, the better, but the lower the percentage that I get from Google the better. Getting to much of your traffic from one source like Google and building a business on it is very unprofessional.

Used to get all my traffic from google when i started the site, and some from other sites. Lately, direct traffic and referral traffic has increased a lot, right google is sending 50% of my sites traffic.

Google account for roughly 40 percent of the traffic I receive. I have found it to be extremely valuable.

Sometimes it is difficult to say if the boost in traffic helps or not. In some cases, and especially at some special seasons, only a few new visitors a day can be new customers but at other times, tens of new visitors might not even help with one single sale.

I wouold say about 50%. You just have to optimize your website well and it should drive in traffic as it gets higher up ont he search index.
