How long does it take to get listed in the Google Directory?

I just submitted one of my sites to the Google directory. Should I expect to get added anytime soon?

The Google Directory uses DMOZ, so I am assuming that is where you submitted your website. DMOZ is one of those places that you simply submit it and forget it.

You may get listed within a few days, or it may take a few years.

And it is also possible that your site may never get listed, it all depends on your site and your luck.

Once you get listed on DMOZ, it will take 3 or 4 months to appear on Google directory.

The recommended advice would be to just forget about DMOZ after your submission because checking the listings everyday or week is not workable and no one knows if the sites get listed or not.

I wouldn't recommend trying to check if you are listed on the directory. Just keep your site in excellent condition and it should show up there in a few months.

Like Cricket said, it could be days or years it depends on many different factors.
