Well, on a tangent, search popularity for a phrase won't make you rank higher if you have that phrase in your url. Ranking higher would be an obvious way that Google might show a site is 'valid', I think. A lot of people speculate that click-through rates, and other gathered user-behaviour plays a part, but I don't believe it. It might in the future.
But validity is what you are asking about. If a million people search for an exact domain name, and find it, why would it be noteworthy? It happens all the time.
So, I have to say no. But educate me if I'm wrong, I don't mind being proven wrong whatsoever, in fact I welcome it.
