want result on google.co.uk
hi,

I have website with .com domain. at the very start of project this

website is giving very good result at google.com. this time it was

hosted at US hosting. client want result at google.co.uk . so i move it

at UK hosting and it was strated result at UK only result but still it

is giving good result at google.com than google.co.uk .

I have idea to register new domain with.co.uk and 301 redirect from

.com to .co.uk for increasing UK traffic.

i just want you people opinion.

Send a message via AIM to WagerX
Try submitting to local UK directories.
You may want to get some links from within the UK. Dins some UK directories.
Also, webmaster tools in Google, allows you to geotarget (or associate url with region) that may help, but I haven't tries it yet.

- Agree completely. If you want Google to associate your site with the UK then obtain other links that are associated with UK sites. You do not necessarily need to go through the trouble of registering a UK domain name. Depending upon the age of the .com one, you may be much better off not doing so.
