Amuzing...
I have a relatively new site that gets new pages indexed rather quickly. Google, however, doesn't index just one by one, but it indexes 50-80 new pages all at once so I feel like my website is sort of like a ping pong ball as far as Google's opinion goes.
I noticed an interesting trend and wanted to know whether it's common to everyone else's websites or just new sites such as mine. I noticed that for the past 3 weeks (which is how old my site is), Google's site:mysite.com search always shows more indexed pages at night.
Here's some data that I've taken these past few days for my indexed pages.
1/14: Day: 63 pages; Night: 90 pages;
1/16: Day: 112 pages; Night: 188 pages;
1/18: Day: 204 pages; Night: 296 pages;
1/20: Day: 287 pages; Night: 397 pages.
It's been doing that since I started building the site but I've started recording the actual numbers just recently.
Anyway, just wondering ... why would Google show more indexed pages at night? Is there some reason?
