Home page PR dropped but increased PR for internal pages
Hi,

Last week I have seen an updation in PR an backlinks for few of my site
and number of backlinks increased a lot for all of my sites and there were no effect on PR of my sites except one of my blog.

PR of one of my blog has dropped from 3 to 2 but also the PR of most of internal pages of blog increased from n/a to 1. Its really good that PR of internal pages has increased but its really too bad that home page PR has dropped..........

PR is not only calculated in quantity of backlinks but quality of backlinks. I prefer to have a less number of backlinks but came from relevant and high PR site than to have a ton of backlinks but PR0.

I noticed the same on a couple of my sites... higher pagerank on a page that has no backlinks

Indeed.......quality matters a lot and not the quantity.....but earlier PR was 3 and earlier links are still exist and also no of quality links increase so if PR depends on qualty links so it should increase aor at least it should not be dropped...........

I have the same issue.. PR0 main page PR2 sub pages..interesting.. But main page has out going links not sub pages..
