Does google take into account user data when ranking websites?
Hi,
Does google take into account user data when ranking websites? I was thinking specifically of bounce rates.
With the amount of data google has on user behaviour (from the toolbar)it seems an obvious way to go. What better vote of confidence in a site if a searcher does not leave(they also could use data like page views and time on site). However it would be very easy to game the statistics so i can't imagine it having much effect.
I was wondering what you nice people had to say on the matter.
Definitely not, I have seen some websites with less number of visitors, also with hardly any content to keep the visitors busy, to be ranking high, over the better ones.
However, that might have some impact on the page rank, what do you guys think?
