Google directory without DMOZ?

Is it possible to be listed in the Google directory without being listed in DMOZ? If so....how do I do it?

I don't care how damn big it is, it doesn't get you listed faster or higher and no one (public ) knows it even exists - - if it ain't kicking and eating it's dead, use it for dog food.

DMOZ is the biggest directory on the www and no other directory comes remotly close.
DMOZ is the fastest growing directory on the www (~2000 new sites/week) and no other directory comes remotly close.

How is that a dead horse?

Are you reaching this conclusion as DMOZ is not meeting YOUR service expectations to list YOUR site? Perhaps you should try and ask for a refund if you have not received the service you expected.

Out of curiosity, where did you get the expectation that DMOZ owes *you* any sort of listing service?

I don't even try to get listed in it - worthless!

I will take hundreds of keyword phrases in Yahoo, MSN and Google. I damn sure won't waste time with DMOZ - I care about conversion and placement not pr and fairy tails

Proof you say - ok here is a site I built in an ip, before I assigned a domain name to it.

While I was building those damn spiders found it - you can't even hide from them.....lol
