Google Updater - Makes Me Hate Google Altogether

I am starting to hate Google. I like their search engine, but now I am looking for a new one. Google is sticking their damn fingers in everything and it is getting anoying. First you start seeing every little app you try to download, offering to or installing the Google Toolbar. I have never had a use for an additional toolbar and google toolbar has become like malware. Now the damn Google Updater. I tried to download the latest version of realplayer and could not get it from their site. They forced me to a link to google updater, which had a whole lot of crapware already selected as default for install. The only thing on the page not selected by default was the one app that I was redirected there to download. So after unselecting all the crapware and selecting realplayer, google updater installs and fails to download the realplayer. so after troubleshooting this for longer than I cared to. I gave up on the download and uninstalled the updater. I am sysadmin for a domain with approx 650 user workstation. I have now implemented group policy and scripting on the college campus that will uninstall and prevent the download of Google Updater, Google Toolbar and any application that can only be downloaded through the Google Updater. I still have google as my homepage, but that will change after I find something that works OK. It does not have to be better than Google just workable. Google You have gooten to GREEDY and are destroying your brand!

Thats true, they have included to much crap in almost every software that is down loadable of their website. But bottom-line is their is no search engine like them right now.

Well.... this happend to me when i ran the updater and learnt thatit slows down the systme conpletely and when u kill the Google Updater aplication from the Task Manager.
Then everything bcomes alright.

It seems that you all know this, but still I would want to ascertain that I have the right concept.

Google is able to track our activities because we have Google tool bars activated on our browsers. This is same as Alexa.com does. As the results that Alexa.com shows are the trend of the users who have Alexa tool bar installed on their systems.

It's hard to do a good search on any search engine these days because of all the junk you have to weed through.

I also hate google! But we can't do anything about it! Google gives us good traffics . . .WE don't have any choice . . .
