Is there a fast way to get your site indexed with google?

Is there a faster way to get your site indexed with Google. I bothers me that it can take up to six months to get indexed in Google's Directory. If anyone knows a faster way that would be very helpful.

Just a single backlink from a frequently crawled site, blog or forum can get you indexed faster as compared to submitting your site manually

Also try submitting a sitemap to google as this will facilitate the process..

Yes, if you have a good relationship with your host.

Put the site on a used IP, (make sure they weren't bad boys). Google will index the next time the spider comes thru. (NO virtual sites please....just shoot me!)

Does it work?

Sure - here's a small local buiness that I just threw up a few days ago, to show the owners the direction I was headed. It only has a couple pages....lol - http://www.finedesigncloset.com it even gave the temp page 111.htm good positions.....lol. To be honest I didn't think they would spider it so fast, so I have to collect the money from them and start building......lol

the engines put it in the top 10 for 50 keyword phrases within 3 days (this report was done a several days ago now google has put in a whole lot more since- SEO report: http://www.finedesigncloset.com/seo/menu.htm ) .
No incoming links no PR, just so basic SEO and a used IP.

You may see something like this for a week or so if the old site was just recently moved but Google will get it right and keep the listings.

example: the number one listing here: http://www.google.com/search?hl=en&q...=Google+Search - the real site is thekeyswedding.com but google and the dns cashe got confused.....lol

They'll get it right in a week or two.

LINK LINK LINK - lol click your heals together and chant "I wish I were Home".

Build a quality site and they will come.

Links don't mean a thing unless you're selling links

do this for a test - build a site on an ip don't register it - don't assign a domain name. Within a month or two the engines will list it with just the IP number. They do get records from godaddy, networkwork solutions, etc. but they also scan blocks of ips, They have to - the engines have to compete with each other - the early bird............

In the old days I could do that and take my time before assigning a domain - now they are too quick I have to assign a domain and build fast.

Have your site as your signature in forums.. or just simply post the link of your newly launched site on a blog that you have already indexed and active for this purpose..

Can't you comprehend that?

please disregard the word YOU..

Oh well.. Just put your newly site in your active blog..(active link of course, I'm afraid you'll going to asked me again about that simple matter) In that way, your newly site might get indexed in a short period of time.. I'm referring to blog that has been indexed, updated and always crawled by the Bots.. A blog that you're using to promote your site.. I hope everything's clear now..

how do you actually build a site on an ip and not assign a domain? Is the site published yet in this case?

I build sites on ips all the time and try to hide them from the engines - no help they find them.

I used to own the servers (sold the hosting company), I had blocks of IPs, Just throw up a site into an IP, later set up the DNS server, point the domain name to my nameservers bingo the ip now has a name.

I like to build them live so I use frontpage alot. I also use notepad, Dreamweaver and VB...

Not hard - you don't need a domain name to get indexed or have a site - it just makes it easier for people to type it in.

Unless of course someone has a site on an el cheapo server and no static ip (ouch) - I would never put any of my clients on a virtual like this site one - http://208.109.181.149/ opps sorry that's your site.

They will tell you that the engines don't handle virtuals any differently than static IPs. I know better.
