Alexa updates?

I didn't know where to put this post so here i go (you can move it if its not in the right place). I have submitted my website to all kinds of directories, also articles, and have noticed that my traffic has been increasing (i have had this website for a little over a month if this makes a difference in your answers). I keep checking for any updates on alexa and there's nothing. It says that there is no activity. How long does it usually take to update website information on there?

alexa is not that accurate.. try to use GA or other web analytics to monitor your traffic..

Easy to get manipulate Alexa numbers...It counts hits to your site files.. If you place an image(from ur site) to a high traffic site like a toplist, your Alexa ranking will get better fast

Why worry about alexa rankings if you could do better and ranked well in terms of SERP? You know, don't pay attention on alexa because sometimes they don't give accurate result..

Mine updates every week I believe. It's a slow progress, but you won't have a rank unless someone with the Alexa toolbar visits your site or you post the little Alexa rank banner on your site. Ya might wanna do that first. Alexa can't rank your site if 0 people can be counted by it.

Submit to thousands free directories and you will see your site with a huge ranking on Alexa lol

Seriously, Alexa is a joke, and tell me honestly do you search on Alexa when you are looking for something? I guess not

Alexa is the toy for the black hat SEO ;-)

Aha! I didn't know this, I thought they only used the Alexa toolbar. From the stats of last month on Alexa my site only got visited by "24 people", obviously those only using the toolbar. So thanks for this snippet of info I seemed to have missed until now

Can you tell me where the banner is?

To those people who are scratching their head why Alexa is important, It is most important when proceeding to publish ads or sell ad slots on your site via networks which use the Alexa rank to determine your site's value and from that the fee they charge/revenue you get. i.e at Text Link Ads.
