What do you think Googles next step?
After MSN made an offer for $45 billion to buy Yahoo, what do you think Googie next step to compete?
I personally like Google, no matter that it treats my sites not the way I like it.
I think that competition will benefit all internet community. What do you guys think? Any guesses how Google will compete for #1 spot?
Have a great day,
Peter

Hmmmm one of the big advantages MSN will get if it aquires Yahoo is it will be able to knock out the IM world. With Google trying to get its foot in the door of IM, MSN slams the door, and targets Skype next.
there’s no guarantee that Yahoo will be willing to sell to Microsoft — or that the deal will win the necessary approvals from antitrust regulators in the United States and Europe if Yahoo capitulates.
A combined Microsoft-Yahoo, you really have a serious alternative to Google

What on earth are you talking about? Bill Gates left Microsoft for his charity organization.

Google is on the way to set back others with Android. The success, however, depends on how things work!

Google has competition from Yahoo, Microsoft, Ask.com in relevance of the search results that they provide and the quality of their services compared to what Google has to offer. So i wonder what will happen ...

The MSN and Yahoo integration will take a lot of time, errors, and monetary loss in the beginning. I'm pretty sure that Google will take advantage of this now in the beginning while the other two get situated. Perhaps raised Adsense costs? But other than that, Google is cheering now more than pulling on their hair.

I don't know about MSN + Yahoo; two very different companies with different cultures. MS is very good at what they do, creating solutions for enterprises and Yahoo is great at delivering content and is community-centric. I'm having a hard time seeing how MS can make such a marriage work.
I don't think Google has to do too much to stop this from happening, but it wouldn't be prudent for them to stand by and just watch it unfold (which they aren't doing, of course).

If MSN and Yahoo will merge, that would compete Google well.

Google always rumored to buy some famous companies linking to cyber world. I hear that they are planning to buy Secondlife from created by Linden. If they do Secondlife will be better and no crashing once every hour )

I really doubt Yahoo will sell, Microsoft is not really offering enough. Yahoo is really huge, but is not well monetized. I mean, they not earn what they should for what they have.

That's because Yahoo is not such a great company and their services suck. I only use Yahoo Messenger out of all stuff out there, and I use this one because 90% of my friends are on it.

As of now Google is the biggest SE, but when MSN and Yahoo merge I don't think so...For me if that's really happen Google will double its effort to be the #1 SE...I still be with Google because it is tested for a long time and manage the SE very well...Forget about the negative rumors out there...
