Getting traffic if you are not in top 10 search results?

When I do a search on Google I look most of the times only at the first 10 results so I wonder if you get any serious traffic if you are ranked lower than place 10 ....

off course...from top 11-50 is possible...but take note if you belong to top 10 it doesn't mean that that is your permanent rank...

Depend on the keyword which you are searching for. Even, if the search results for that particular keyword are not so relevant, then people may find your website useful and you can have more visitors than them even, if you have that relevant information.

Indeed, the right keyword + quality content produces right visitors or a potential customer, even though your not in Google's top 10 this are factors that visitors are looking for!

If you would notice, a good amount of your visitors will come from long-tail keywords searches. So you can still get good chunk of traffic without fighting for competitive keywords.

It actually depends on the user itself on til what pages they will going to search,. If the information found on the 1st page wasn't enough for the user, for sure they will look on the next pages,. Anyway, as what digitalseo said, being on the other pages doesn't mean you don't have the chance to be on the first page,. It will still fall on how you optimize and promote your site or simply how you compete on your competitor

Well.......however the search engines are best way to divert traffic for a site but there are also some other ways to get traffic.......and I think social bookmarking sites and social networks are better way to divert traffic to a site other than search engines.

And also if your site is not ranked in top 10 results it does not mean that you will not get traffic from search engines. Suppose if a user searching some information on google and if did not find desired information while visiting a couple of sites then ther will be two options for him first one he will go to second page or secondly he may chage his query for search.......in both way you will have chance to get traffic from search engine......

if he goes to second page most probably he clicks on your site and if he got his desired information he will bookmark your site for further use as he gets it after visiting many sites so he don't want to again go for search for the same information on google.

and if he change query......most probably your site may now appear among top..............so you can guess...........

Alt attribute can help your images if you are aiming to have a better ranking on it.

Depends on the search term, and its popularity.....some sarch terms make surfers to go to second page and others
some do not even make them scroll down on the first page...
