text snippets not returned in Google

If i place "snippets" of text from my site in Google search box they return nothing. In Yahoo my sites comes up fine. I still rank for some keywords but have completely gone for many. Any ideas what is going on?

When my site isn't returned for its own homepage text i guess its time to start worrying.

Some questions:

* How long is your site online?
* Do your pages appear when you google site:yourdomain.com?
* Do you use google webmaster tools? There you can see if there's any penalization applied to your sites.

Nope, your site is not under any penatly. Ranks no. 1 for born gifted with site links. Searched for "beautiful baby clothes bouquet" which is on homepage, and it comes up on top again. So as far as i can tell there is no penalty imposed on your site, possibly you competition has pushed you back on search results or it could be a temporary thing as well while google is recalculating you site's position in search results.

Thanks for looking - however even though "beautiful baby clothes bouquet" returns a first page result, if you click the result it brings up a diff page, not the hompeage. The reason i think something is amiss is because any lumps of text from the homepage dont return the homepage in the serps e.g:
"gifts, Christening gifts for boys and girls, first birthday gifts and personalised baby gifts. We also have some fabulous naming " which is from the main paragraph on the homepage doesnt return the homepage. This is the same for pretty much all the pages of my site!

Isn't that a good thing? Means google is delivering targeted traffic to a product page, probably the product people are searching for when they search for those words.

Hmm.. interesting, seems like your site is under some kind of penalty, It'd be better if you asked the google themself, try contacting them through your google webmaster account, and see if they respond.
