Will running google ads help your ranking in google?

I was wondering if I started running google ads or another search engine's ads on my site would it help my ranking in the listings?

no, running google ads have no affect on your ranking.

Same with getting your site listed faster, and being reindexed more often. Google uses a seperate bot for ads

I have heard of it many times, it is just the same 2 - 4 people trolling the web with the same message over and over and over and over and over again. I usually think it is a self promotional technique for some people to get into arguements with people over everything.

Now if you advertise with adsence, it will help you out, because your site will appear on alot of sites, and will up your raffic, but displaying, no. I know alot of site with adsence and PR 1 and 2's

Hehe, every other site I visit has that ad, it seems to be very popular, but I have not noticed that to be of influence. most of the sites that come behind me in the serps have them, and I don't run any adds at all.

It said that there isn't a difference, but for some reason I have a feeling that there is something behind the seens that we don't know that matters... Just a gut feeling, no proof of it... It;s nice to have them on your pages - atleast you can tell what Google technology assumes your sites theme is... But as far as rankings - It's believed that it has no effect on rankings, but I'm one of the very few that is seriously wondering about this....

it really would not make much sense to tie in adwords with the results.
if you gave them a boost in the regular listings then there would be less need to get your ads clicked on (meaning you could write terrible ads that make google less money AND make their advertising less relevant). in addition they would not want to drop down their paying customers for using ads as that could potentially bankrupt many companies teetering on the edge...it is just not logical either way.
