Content is important -- but how does Google know if it's junk or not?

How does Google know if a web page's content is relevant, and "good"

Does it count having images and lots of non-repetitive info as "good content"

I know some pages are filled with junk for SEO purposes....

It doest like duplicate, or irrelevant text. If your website is all about ******, and your content talks about CHARITY ORGANISATIONS, then google will raise its eyebrows.

Your content should be related to your business niche

Content must be related to your theme. It will looks junk it you put some content that is not related to your theme. But I'm not sure if google can detect wether it's a junk or not unless you are discussing some topics that is not good in the eyes of google.

Google just send their bots to visit your site. They crawl your content and gauged how relevant it is based on the outgoing and inbound links it has.

But they are smart enough though to see if your pages are stuffed with keywords, duplicates, etc.

well theres alot of factors to tell if a site is junk or not.. and thats totally algorithmic..
you might want to consider google webmaster guidelines to make your site more bot friendly..
