Exclamation Google to penalize advertisers with slow-loading pages

Just posting this here in case no one else saw this on Googles adwords Blog.

This article explains how Google will be considering the quality of your website by the speed that the landing page comes up. So if you use adwords, and if your landing site is slow, you will be in trouble.....

Not an avid reader of the Google Blog either, but one of my readers on my blog is and told me about it. So I figured this would be a good place to post it

Well, that article can help us on how to getaway from trouble. Slow showing of your landing page can cause your visitor to leave your site.

It reflects on your quality score its for pay per click...

Out of all honesty they have been reviewing your landing pages all along I don't know why they try to write a blog post up acting like there doing something different which granted there probably adding something new to the algorithms (such as in the programming), but the thing is a lot of accounts are humanly edited and then they go adjusting your bid prices and etc...

trust me I know that

It have been like that for a long time, but there is no reason that a web master should have slow loading sites these days. So get a new server if your is to slow.

The reason this has come up is that someone found a section about it in their help pages, but it had not been implemented then, and they announced it around various forums. I was told it was going to be added to the QS algo, so the information was placed on the help pages, but they decided to push back the launch and forgot to remove this bit.

https://adwords.google.com/support/?fulldump=1 (search for "page loading times")

After it was out, they had to push the launch a bit early.

It makes sense anyway, a slow page load time is a bad user experience.

Advertisers are already penalizing themselves if their sites are slow, because many visitors will leave before the site loads so they are losing potential customers. Google is just weeding out the slow ones so the end user doesn't have to.
