Is google showing the original page title and description in the SERP?

Yesterday I changed the title and description of a page and today I see the google search result shows the new title and description. Although the page was last cached 8 days ago.

Is google showing search result from the original page content now?

I was told by one of the senior seo guy that google is maintaining different server for showing the archives and search result. If this happens, I must tell, google is making their whole system very critical.

It takes a little time for everything to be updated or reported in google. Patience is a virtue and required for SEO.

Google, Like Amazon, uses different servers for different applications. I mention Amazon since their servers re older and not as reliable. Yahoo has this issue also. Google had the latest money and they have the best servers but they don't make the best use of them in my opinion) since we all see such issues.
