Backlinks

my site has no backlinks listed on the Goog. i've found several pages scattered across the net with direct links to my site. why aren't these credited?

If they're PR3 (or is it 4 now?)or lower, they don't show up... Maybe you're banned from PR? How long has your site been up?

Google only updates that once every 3 weeks, also, sometimes google will not show links if they are below a PR of 3, what PR is your site now?

unfortunately, our PR is currently at donut level

I have seen it take up to 5 weeks for Google to find a link. It also depends on the PR of the site. Google will find higher ranked sites first - and their links

Just because they don't show up, it doesn't mean they are not credited. Google only shows some of the higher PR4 backlinks and not all of them either.

Some people are guessing that PR will update in the very near future. Keep an eye out on the message boards for people announcing their PR has changed then take another look at your own. If you haven't moved from 0 you should probably consider a more aggressive linking campaign.
