Back links - Google Frustration
If I put my URL into yahoo I see all of the pages that link me to. Most of them have higher PR than I do. When I search for links through google none of them show up yet google is giving those results to yahoo.
What gives?

John please could you explain what means the link you gave here? I don't understand the suite of letters before the url.

Instead of searching for the domain - which returns onlty the domain in question, it is a search for pages linking to the domain.

I knew that search tip, it's only that suite of letters between link: and www.cattletrader.com (ALXMHsiOMXAJ), what are these letters for?

I have no idea. Google inserts those for some reason, but it's beyond me.

I hope so...googlebot hasn't been to my site in over 20 days. Anyone know how to entice her?

There is only one real way, which is lots of inbound links. That is the only way I know.

It is a struggle not to get frustrated with Google. My site's been up for almost 3 months now, have put a good bit of time getting backlinks, keyword density, content, etc. and the site is still non-existant in Google for any of my primary keywords. I keep getting advice to wait, which I continue to do, but it gets frustrating.

True, it does get frustrating sometimes, but it just all takes time. I try to do website promotion fulltime right now, and I sit in front of the computer everyday, and that is really frustrating because I want to see results of my work immediately. But, unfortunately, it just doesn't work that way. Patience, lots of patience, is required. As well as hard work.

Google has no records of your site on the index, so far as I can find - though we seem to be in a prolonged update, anyway.
However, if this holds true then I've submitted your site to Google using the addurl link, ni the hope that you will at least get your homepage listed.
However, I just do not understand why you have used a frames structure on your main content section of your site - it makes no sense, makes the site harder to read - and, importantly, quite possibly harder to index. I would personally recommend you re-evaluate your frames method, and seek to utilise another solution.

My site had been doing very well - lots of 1st page listings and #1 rankings for relevant keywords. Then on October 8th it just disappeared, totally and completely, from Google. I've gone three weeks with a huge loss in business. I've been anxiously awaiting the next update with the hope that my site would reapppear. It seems that Google has just done its update, and my site is NOT back. You say that this seems to be a prolonged update. Does that mean that my site could yet reappear? This really sucks, by the way. I know I'm not banned, I'm just gone.

Well Google does have six pages in your site fully indexed and has another nine which it has recorded the URL to but has not yet spidered.
I show you with a PR2 and one incoming link in Google.

I'm now reading 17 indexed pages and a PR of 2 on the index for Asher68. Funny - the cache seems to suggest October 29th - was that addurl a coincidence?

I'm get fustrated with google too. In one of my sites I went from having over 25 sites linked to one of mine in google down to zero over night? In all other major search engines I see my results paying off but not in google?
I understand that this is a long process but there never seems to be anything that is consistent about google?

Well you can perhaps take some solace from the fact that not even Google itself is exempt from these problems.
At the moment www2.google.com is showing a toolbar PR of 6.
