Google backlinks Update

Hi Friends

Can anybody tell me How much time google takes to update its backlinks?

Are you using Google Webmaster Tools or just the link: command? It really depends on where you build those backlinks. If those sites are frequently crawled, it would show up faster.

Pagerank update happen every 3 month.

Google can update backlinks any time.

Exactly, Google bot crawls not 2-3 months it crawls all the time. PR is a separate issue and it is at a period of 3-4 months. But having your links placed on sites that get crawled frequently (IE: large and active sites with frequent updates) will get your links listed faster.

Backlinks update is after the PR update. So it takes 3-4 months before you can see changes on your backlinks.

Some changes can be picked up by search engines within days. Some changes and some back-links will be cached within weeks.

Goolge updates take around 120 days, so 3-4 months for the pr and backlink.

If you are looking to find your own backlinks I suggest Google's Webmaster tool. If you are looking at competitors I suggest using the Yahoo link command as Google displays but a few backlinks.

I've heard that there will be an update at the end of the month over at Digital Point. But, it's probably a load of crap.

In other news, my backlinks were updated this weekend.

Thats what I hear as well. For the last three years they have done updates in the month of April so if that holds true this year we should be seeing it in the next few weeks. I saw on a couple other forums 12th and one said 21st! Won't be long now!

It will crawl frequently....
make sure that the link back site should be crawled regularly.

The PR update (which happens once in a quarter) is different from the backlinks update. Usually the backlinks are updated once in a month or so. You can check that from the google webmaster tools

Hi ... for what it's worth, my backlinks have been updated 5 times this year: roughly 3300, 4200, 11000, 9000 and, today, 6800. Most DP links removed by google, many directories and a pile of blogs. My sense is the directories and blogs turned out the lights and last one out shut the door. The DP loss is puzzling. Good luck.
