One of the best ways for ensuring more pages are indexed is having proper and search engine friendly pages internal links. The text ones are even better than the links.

This is great post, i am professional SEO, but have never use this. I think will help for some of our client biggest websites which have difficulties because sitemaps are huge

There really are no "tricks", at least not in the long run. Anything that is a "trick" is really just an algorithm vulnerability. Google, Yahoo & MSN are working on these constantly. Their goal is to find a way to deliver sites that are the most relevant and of the highest quality. So, chances are little "tricks" are never going to last forever. Think about the days when meta titles reigned supreme and soon the abuses were discovered and now, though they reinforce your theme, really don't count for much.

Want to know the best way to rank - create sites that have relevant and useful information and are high quality (from the code down!).

Make the internet better - make GREAT sites. End of story!

Tag cloud can help with large sites, but first things you must do - generate site map to link all your pages. All pages should be not more than 3 (or 4 for extremely large site) clicks away from home-page. this will allow to all search-spiders index your site properly.
