Google Site Search

What benefit is there to add a Google feature to search your site when Google doesn't index all the pages of your site?

or conversely...

Does adding the Google site search feature increase the chances that all the pages of your site will be indexed? Or does it mostly rely on importance & number of IBL?

Adding Google site search does nothing for you except the following:

1. Allow visitors to search every page on your site indexed by Google without typing in "site:www.yourdomain.com" after their keywords.

2. Associate your website with the Google name.

3. Send a little more PR to Google. (Like they need it)

It's pretty gimicky, but I liked the way it looked on my Link Exchange site so I left it on there.

Yup. It does nothing for your SE rankings.
