if you are with pr zero or 1 u will stay in that range ?

Obviously he wasn't serious about a PR10 link. It was only to prove a point about how PR gets passed. Most people know that getting links from PR9 or PR10 is nearly impossible. Even PR7-8 is very difficult.

Is this true? 'Coz I don't seem to agree on that... Even if you have a backlink from a PR10 site, it may still depend on the quality of that link and how many outgoing links that PR10 site has.

No it's not exactly true. I would rather have a great link in a PR0 website rather than a useless link in a PR10 site.

I calculate the value of my links by how many visitors they bring me and how qualified those visitors are.
PR is a time killer for link droppers

Of course it isn't true! Where the hell did he get that idea?? Those kinds of replies, brings wrong information to the readers of this forum.

It's not about the value of PR or rather the tons of links you got for your site. But mostly the quality and relevancy of your links.

And oh, it is just a green bar. If you got PR7 or 8 and you got no conversions or sales at all, then why would you pick that green bar?

It's quite hard to understand Google's algo. Sometimes, even when you have 10 pr3 backlinks, it couldn't guarantee your PR to be 2.

Actually it's about whether or not you use your keyword phrase as the link text. If you have 10,000 IBLs with the link text "www.mysite.com" they won't help you rank for anything but your domain name. That said, it is true that you will receive more of a boost in the SERPS from a targeted text link coming from a relevant page than you will from a non-relevant page, but as long as the page linking to your page is indexed in Google, you will get some boost.
