If you read the thread pointed by Cricket http://www.v7n.com/forums/google-for...tml#post849577
you will get the answer
There is no need to trust the PR system Just forget it and focus on SERP

Dig is an old site
It is not true. You came after Digg because DIG is an old site.

The Digg article comes up before the one on my site. Why? Because of page rank.
However, I also have tons of articles that come up in page 1 SERPs just because there is some strange existing keyword combination that just does not exist on any other pages that someone happened to type in - that is when Page Rank is meaningless.
For instance, someone types "cat online community" and I get page one because I have the "Why Cats Love Milk" article and one of my listed recent posts have "online community" in the title on the cat article page. Thats how I get almost all my traffic - accidental keyword combinations resulting in page one results that add up to thousands of hits.

Yes there is no benefit of google Page rank and rankings are not directly related with PR.
But I think there is an indirect relationship exist between PR and high rankings.
We get high PR when we have high inbound links and High inbound links is one of the most important factor in SEO. So this way they are related.

I found useful PR rank only on directories because most of them rank your domain by PR (except DMOZ and Yahoo directory), beside that there are a lot of great sites on internet with great information with low PR just because there is not a lot BL.
Thinking PR is an indicator of quality, think again.

So if I have 100,000 Links from PR0, is it better than 100 links from Pr6? any input?

It's been a bit since I've been in here (my loss!) but this one caught my eye in the News that came to my inbox.
Nice to see Cricket jumping all over this one, saved me a lot of trouble lol!

Link is a link is a link
100.000 links from PR0 or PR6 sites made no difference because Google either
a. count your backlink from site with any PR or without
b. it ignored link regardless if site has PR6 or PR10

Unless you can provide EVIDENCE of this, I would appreciate you mentioning this is your PERSONAL opinion.

I am sorry to disappoint you but with 23,000 backlinks, I have more than just my PERSONAL opinion to backup my post. There are dozens of sites that missing from list but who have links to us.
Or you can Google for:
free listing
and I'm sure that you will get better idea why I say so

This means very little to me, since the Google webmaster tools show all links (even if from one source) but not necessarily the weight that they give to those links.

I am talking about links to AMRAY that I can find searching for AMRAY or better yet for AMRAY Directory posted on sites that are not present in GWT list.

That still says nothing about the weight given to those links.

Now you are confusing me
What wait are you talking about?

Now, what is your objection?
Are you objecting the fact that Google will count link from any site,
or
you are objecting the fact that Google can ignore links from any site regardless of what PR site may have?
