I can't believe I'm hearing this, this just proves that your knowledge in the topic is close to none. Don't discuss them if you don't know.
The links that you build that aren't relevant will NOT help you not to mention links farms if anything penalizes your site in SERP. If you want your site to go into the sandbox, continue this path.

This is currently the proper way to do it although I would like to add sig links into the mix. This however will change from time to time upon how G feels like.
