Google Learn to Crawl Flash

Google has been developing a new algorithm for indexing textual content in Flash files of all kinds, from Flash menus, buttons and banners, to self-contained Flash websites. Recently, we've improved the performance of this Flash indexing algorithm by integrating Adobe's Flash Player technology.
read for more. I still did not try this but this is a good new for web designer , flash designer and for SEO well. Before we did not know the solutions on how to index a flash site but through this new solution definitely it is the technology that we looking for. What can you tell about this?

Good news for flash website owners though there are still some unresolved issues regarding this new indexing algorithm/system by Google.

Google can index Flash content all it wants, it's not going to make it easier to access.

Adobe Flash web sites are basically hard to enjoy, compared to HTML-prevalent counterparts. Copy-paste isn't allowed (unless coded otherwise), font sizing is impossible, image reuse is very hard and generally, the ensemble usually ends up looking like a web designer power trip than a true content sharing approach.

As you can see, I don't like Flash, at all. Some aspects of it make sense but building entire sites with it, being a proprietary and closed technology, makes less sense than relying on PHP, AJAX and MySQL to create equally attractive web destinations.

Of course, this is all -my- opinion on Flash and that's why even though Google seems to be making (some) sense of the technology, other parties like myself aren't.

have said this in every forum i have seen this post (all of them)

being able to crawl & index does not equal being able to rank well.

there are many millions of HTML sites out there that "are able to be crawled and indexed" that do not rank well.

plus if the Flash is triggered by javascript (most of them) then it still will not be seen.

If they will find solution it will boost flash development and flash design. Companies which provide flash design will grow really fast.
