[Just went and googled igoogle.]

It appears to be a place where you can create a home page for yourself hosted by google??

Actually before i used iGoogle gadgets for your site. There are lots of interesting widgets that you can add into your website to enhance its functionality and user friendly environment.

Just dont overdo it because it might slow your website too.

I tried it out once. It got too crowded for me and became a time consumer, so I stopped using it.

My 7 year old loves it though because it has a bunch of games and virtual pets and such you can add.

I use it and love it! I have tons of widgets but I would say the two that I use the most is my widget to track stock prices and my Gmail email widget. I also have a tab setup for Google Documents which is nice.

iGoogle is useful for monitoring, for a start you can set up Google Reader to display on the page for RSS feeds related to certain clients eg Google news.
