Did yah note a google pr update today? - Page 2

Not to get off topic but there could have been other variables that I am not aware of but the most obvious was that we no longer linked to each other. Their website is over 250+ pages big and all the pages were linking to my site at the footer. My site only has about 100 pages and I was also linking to them. When we announced our split several of my loyal customers no longer linked to them. They are still linking to me. Let's just say they need me more than I need them.

Without going into specifics because of privacy they only sell 1 type of product. I sell creative services that our regular customer can continue to use. I have now replaced a similar product to what they were offering with us.

To get back on topic I do think something is going on. I'll have to keep checking my sites to see if any get higher because there have been additional sites that are now linking to me with higher PR. If not it's not the end of the world. I am busy enough as it is.

interesting... thanks for the answer.

it would seem in today's world of worrying about getting slammed by the google gods, that I wouldn't want to risk something as obvious as having the same link at the bottom of 250 pages on a different website, but apparently it worked.

what a PR drop for him though... PR7 to PR2. Has anyone else seen something as drastic as this?
