Google "Indented Result" (2 listings instead of on

Usually google lists a home page or an internal page in its results, but sometimes it lists 2 pages from the same site - they call it an "indented result", and its because both are relevant.
Question - does anyone have any info on this? Seems like it would be great to get listed with indented results, more real estate on the search results page.
does anyone know what triggers google to do this?
Has anyone had any luck with optimizing two pages around the same key word phrase and getting an indented result?

google does that when they are not real sure which page is more relevant to match the searchers search query. the best way to do that is to have multiple pages that have lots of links to them with the happy link text and the words in the page content too.

if you search for seo book or search engine optimization book my home page and buy now pages list at 1 & 2 in Google

I did the google search for "seo book". very cool. did you do that on purpose (good strategy) or was it just luck.

If on purpose, do you think many people realize it can be done and are trying to do it... it seems like double the real estate is a big plus.

it was intentional and it worked out perfect in my case. it is not that hard to do if you have way more link popularity than your competitors. always a good call when you can do it
