Special Listing display result

Hi,
Let me make my post simple by example.

When you go to google.com and search for the keyword "yahoo" the listing will come as:

Yahoo!

Welcome to Yahoo!, the world's most visited home page. Quickly find what you're searching for, get in touch with friends and stay in-the-know with the ...
Show stock quote for YHOO

www.yahoo.com/ - 89k - Cached - Similar pages
Mail Yahoo
Finance
Games Yahoo
Messenger
Sports
Driving Directions
Movies
Horoscopes
More results from yahoo.com »

Here below the normal listing there are links to Mail yahoo, Sports, Finance etc.

Similar result comes for MSN and other popular sites but other sites come as normal listing even if you search by company name.

Would it not be great if we can do something so that our site also get listed like this?

Any insight would be appreciated.

Best Regards
Auroinfo

I think you have to be an authority site to get "site links" in Google. I have a client who has site links and they have been ranked #1 for their main keyword for over a year now.

One can't do it manually. Google will automatically list it if it find your site is much organized.

yup, if your website is important enough and google thinks that it should have site links, it will have, otherwise it's like all other websites

Thank you for the inputs friends. I understand that the site has to be an authority site and google decides it. But how does it pick up the links? How does it determine which ones to take which one are important?

Well Mr Matt Cuts says its all about algorithm but friends there should me some common set of rules or guidelines for it. Does anyone of us has some more idea about it?

Google decides it based on how many links are on your site and they see that it would help visitors on your site. If you log onto google webmasters it will explain it better
