Fluctuation can also be happen due to different data centers, when you search some thing in Google, it sends your query to a data center (we don’t know which one). All data centers might not be synchronize on the same time so give you different results.

Are you checking on your rankings on SERP? You can't get stable rankings actually.. Nobody knows when google will be updating soon..

as far as I know google updates its search engine results continuously though you may not notice it if your website has been stable in the serps for a long while and the algo doesn't change that dramatically.

but i think it's normal for serps on one's major keywords/keyword phrases to change around a bit. a friend in my town/niche who does well in ranking for his words says he pretty much has been on the first page for years but fluctuates between like #3 and #9 in the serps for many words; he considers that normal and he doesn't worry about it much anymore either.

Nobody know when the google update. But important thing is developed the link building to get better PR on Next Update.

We have the same situation here. I am still confused if my keywords will be stable on its position.

Hi..its not a easy thing to know about google algorithm for search engine....you do your SEO work without spamming update fresh content about ur site...and hope for the best.

As of my observation,ranking changes even for a single minute.I don't exactly know their real time of updates but i'm more focused in generating traffics for my site.

Oh I'm just like you before.. When I start by very first website, I do track my ranking daily but it disappoint me to see same ranking everyday. Then I came to realize that google is very unpredictable us to when it will update. SO just a tip, try monitoring you rankings on a weekly basis :-)

They update around every three months, actually its not really an update since your site ranking is being evaluated daily. I'm not sure if that's the right term to use though. Anyway, they just let you in for a treat whenever they show the quarterly update, so that you could have a bit of idea how you're doing and about your reputation standings.
