I don't know. I had some sites fall down to no PR's. I noticed these were pages with a lot of duplicate content on them

I dont know when it happened: my site went from PR3 to PR2 and I spent time and money to increase incoming links. I am so disappointed!

Yes I have just had my sites PR updated. Went from PR0 to PR2 on two different sites. One has 800 yahoo links the other 280 both PR2 but I am really happy!

Looks like it's still updating. One of my sites just switched from a PR1 to a PR4.

WOW. Congratulations!.
Please, share with me your secret recipe!!!. What I've found is that websites that were pointing to mine, mostly blogs, now are down or w/PR2...

Secret recipe == hard work.
I added more content and obtained more inbound links.

Well, let me tell you that I am also following that recipe but I think the oven did not reach the necessary temperature....
I am finding hard to get inbound links to my website. I sell jewelry and people like it but don't link to it.
Do you know if there is any tool (other than the PR green bar) to check the actual PR of my website?

There are lots of tools that check PR, but the green bar works.
Here's another one:
http://www.sitepagerank.net/
Have you tried writing and submitting articles on jewelry? How to determine quality? How to clean the different types of jewelry (i.e. don't use ammonia on silver)? etc....
That will garner you a bunch of links.

Yea!
I had given up since I was passed over the last couple of updates - I've just put my head down for the last 6 months and got busy!
I took a quick peek earlier today and I'm now at a 3/10 and quite a few of my internal pages are at 2/10.
Not quite the 4/10 I was last year but it's great to see PR reflect what I'm seeing in the SERPS. (This seems to be a recent trend in my niche for all but a couple of folks.)
Still a ton of work to do in the next two weeks - nice to see it's paying off.
Jingle bells, jingle bells......

i checked my PR yesterday in work and to my delight i had taken a leap from a PR0 to a PR4. i was delighted. when i got home i looked again and my toolbar said i am PR2. oh well, i thought perhaps it was too good to be true and i will keep working at it. then today i am seeing a PR4 again. "please google, stop this roullette wheel of teasing me"

I sense that this update will be something Google may wish to sweep down under the rug as history is made.
4 days ago: 25 IBL's
3 days/2 days ago/yesterday: 46 IBL's
Today: 25 IBL's
Got some solid relevant links and was added to DMOZ since last month...this is very strange. Let's see what happens tomorrow...

It seems that this previous google update does not affect a lot in my case, my IBL gained and PR are still the same except to my blog's PR drop from 3 to 1!

Thank you to all of you who took the time to write about this.
Do you know what is the hardest part for me to understand "gain authority and related theme incoming links"?. The word "related".
What is the scope of "themes related to jewelry" (and as you see the english is not my first language so double work). Is there is a criteria?. How may I discover all the themes related to jewelry?

I was trying to find out if there is another pagerank checker (probably hoping that my green bar was "out of work")
I have a blog where I write news, offers, etc but it seems that is not enough.
I wonder how many incoming links should I need?. Here is the report from http://www.domain-pop.com
Backlinks: 986
Domains: 113
What do you think?

I think the update did happen. I have a 2 months old website that turned from PR0 to PR3 and two of my blogs, also 2 months old, from N/A to PR2...the contents of all the 3 are frequently updated and I have been promoting them all, so i guess that's the reason why I got the increase in PR...

Same goes with me. But still I'm happy for the results of updates since some of my blogs have increased their page rank..
