i think pr don't give more importance. for me, what matters most is the traffic and sales im giving to my site because that what i am working for.

i think it should be legally required to state TOOLBAR in these kind of discussions.

the Real PR is far from a joke, the whole algo is based around it. TOOLBAR PR is mainly there as a wind up & Google tool (to captivate & punish) these days, and to keep everybody's interest.

2 different things entirely.

No, PR only seems to matter to most webmasters, not most people. It's webmasters that give it a meaning and webmasters are a small portion of Google users. Most "users" do not even see the "little green bar", even if they happen to have to toolbar. It needs to be enabled...and most wouldn't bother.

I agree...and we are referring to the green bar in the toolbar, NOT actual Page Rank, which is obviously important.

This only explains that PR don't have factor in getting good position in the SERP.

google make their position clear. Forget about pr dont make a site that is trying to seduce the se. Make a site with good content that users will find useful. Then google will reward you.
