Personal Project ~WIP~
This is what I've been doing all day.... Yep, you got it. Building hair... Pushing and pulling verts and spliting polygons and extruding edges...
I know it's a little wonky, I'm not a great modeler but I think it will be fine for what I need it for.

Thanks. (:
I'm thinking about starting over. I started this one with a sphere but I think I'm going to box model instead. I just started with too many polygons and got crazy to soon, I should have started with few polygons and added them as needed.

Sorry can't help with tutorials. I'm using 3dsmax for modeling and animating backgrounds and animation plates/compositing and Poser7 for my character animations.
Here is the hair on the character in a 140 frame animation. Shot #1.
It's a 10mb zip but a 240mb uncompressed video file inside. If it's jerky for you on playback, its your computer, not the video file.

Shot#2 done. Now I move into the background and animated plates.
Need to design and model an exit into the balcony along with the front facade of the building and the railing as well as the cityscape background image for shot#2.
I'll post details as they happen, if anyone is interested in seeing this sequence come together.

Here is my background element so far.
I've only modeled, uv mapped and started the textures on 1 building. I needed an object to get the camera angle setup so once I got that I started on the sky. Hand painted.
I plan to make many buildings to fill the frame so you wont see the horizon at all and most of the sky will be obscured.

Sometimes we ourselves might not think our creations are up to par like we think they should be. But others will often think that they are great! Most times, it are the imperfections in our work that make our creations unique.

Please be careful -- If you keep this up, your state's going to make you get a beautician's license.
