I think you should tone done the bottom red part of the page. Its too bright, my eyes are focused more on the bright red background instead of the art. Overall its very nice.

Looks nice,try to make it more dark cherry gradioent for the background its too bright on the bottom

My final design for the Portfolio
Sorry I did not reply to the other thread for a while been busy with couple of works. My temporary portfolio is at pexiq.com
I could not code the design before so hopefully you should see it in works before the month. I was just tinkering with jquery and still have a bit of a trouble but hopefully everything will work out.
Here is the final version which will be coded.

This is excellent. The use of various shades of red is very good, no other colors needed.
I also like the 'shelf' setup, with the arrows on either side for navigation. GOOD!
I'm not sure what the arrows on the background are for. They don't really 'fit in'.
All in all, very nice job.

Honestly speaking, the design is really good. Ohiosweetheart is right about the shading. It is good that you had various of red shades combined with each other. On the other part of my observation, it hurt a little in the eye if I look at it for quite a long time because of having too much red. The arrow on the bottom doesn't really look good that way and just don't fit in..  |

I hope you asked baloch's permission before tampering with his design...designer etiquette and all, it's pretty rude to mess with another designers work without them first agreeing to it, not to mention your attempt 'completely' butchered the guys cool template.

Hey baloch,
You have a great thing going for you there! Very original and very creative. I can see that you are having a lot of fun with that project!
The only thing I might change is the color of the 'floor' (if you want to call it that). I checked your site on 3 different computers with 3 different resolutions and the floor still appears to be a little to bright to the eyes.
Also good choice with going red. Red represents power, high class (VIP, Red Carpet, etc). But some also might understand the light as danger and emergency. Even though consciously the person might like your site, subconsciously the brain might trigger the "Danger" in the head and dislike the site.
But overall good job Looks awesome! Keep it up and show us the final result when everything is done! |

The arrows seem to be perfect no need to change, I Love it. And I dream to have a portfolio like that too. Plus, the color is red and it simply looks great. I advice you no need for change believe me.

Its really nice design but if based on flash then it would take time to download.And if it happened so then it would have adverse effect on your visitors.The average time spent by a visitor on a website is merely 20-30 seconds .If they found that the information on the website is relevant for them then they will stay for lon time otherwise they canclose the window.
