whenever you start your own company or firm or anything you start your business you need a identity of your company to introduce you & company in the network of your niche companies, Logo should be well defined & should be showing your niche stuffs in it. Logo design tells others that whats your target about.

Yeah i agree with you. logo's plays a major role while designing the web site, I too faced the same problem. Also you said that they were some examples, but i hadn't found anything their.. Can you please repost them.

Mostly understand the target audience then what image and reputation the company has then see what you can add to that in terms of value with the logo

Logo should have no more than 2-3 colors, otherwise it will be hard for eyes. Also it will look good in grayscale. Don't forget to add something creative and unique, don't use those overused ideas which you can find all over the internet.

in my opinion, a good logo is one that sends the right signals to the consumers.
It has to reflect what the company stands for.

I have only designed a couple but something that catches the user's eye and gets your message across. For example this could be used as a logo background. I think it stands out.

Then again I may have a twisted sense of humor.
